FitDog Friday

In honor of FitDog Friday, Max and I decided to get off our butts and go walking at nearby Bear Creek Park.
Max:  Ma are you EVER gonna learn how to walk right?
Ma:  I keep telling you Max, Ma only needs to use TWO legs to walk and stop looking at me like I'm a freak!
Max:  Ok, OK, don't be acting like you're "all that" cuz you can walk on two legs longer than me!  (tellin' you guys...it's sooo bizarre! Ma's friends do it too! Bunch of circus side-show freaks is what it looks like, but I for one, refuse to give into this stupid human trend!)

Ma...is it Thanksgiving?!? I'm getting hungry!!

This thing was pretty! Are those extensions?

OMD! This is like a weird water bird?! Look Ma Look!!!

I've never seen a SWIMMING bird before! That's crazy Ma!

The floating bird actually seems pretty friendly...
hey Ma, I think it likes me!!!

Hey, isn't that one of those floating birds Thunder has a  playmate?
I hope Thunder's friend isn't lost? Gosh, I'd like to go get it and bring it back to Thunder but I don't like getting my feet wet...you have Thunder's cell number Ma?

This is a dog-eating creature if I ever saw one!!!
THAT is why it's in the penitentiary!!

This is in honor of our heroes!

We like that people care about our heroes
and have a special place to honor them here!

Plenty of standing pottys too! No port-a-potty for Max today!

We really liked the FitDog Friday Blog Hop!
Thanks for having it  SlimDoggy and Peggy's Pet Place!

Have a beautiful Friday and Stay FitDog Friday Fit!

    1. Puddles, you are soo brilliant! I think it must cost that bird a LOT of money for the feather upkeep! Ma can't even keep up with her roots and gray hairs, imagine what the bird spends!

    1. Yep, we are gonna be looking for more and more cool places to walk that are relatively close, sure would be better if we had mountains and NOT this Texas heat...too bad the malls won't let Max walk indoors! :)

  11. What lovely pictures, we really enjoyed looking around the park with you. You look very interested in the birds Max, at least you don't chase them like some naughty little white dog we could name.

  12. Sometimes we see wild turkeys on our walks...boy are they ugly...that is why it is always good to see things in nature so you know how they really look! Keep on paw padding along until next Friday!

  14. Max you meet the most interesting furriends on your walks...First there were those mutant devil dogs and now look at all these birds...Glad they locked up that dog-eating one...One of those swimming ones has been in my yard a lot lately...Momz sez his name is Muscovy but he doesn't answer when I call him that

  15. What a great place to walk, I really enjoyed the photos, and you made me laugh, Max! Kobi got to see some of those floating birds on his walk the other day too, but they were scared and flew away. FitDog Friday is fun, isn't it? :)

    1. Thanks Jan- yes, I am really finding myself taking Max out for more and more walks and he's been doing way better on the leash! I try to take him where there are ducks or lots of kids to keep him happy and so he doesn't try that "sitting down not moving" thing too :)

  16. You have some pretty neat places to go hiking/walking, Max and Ma. We have those strange looking ducks here, too. It looks like a turkey mated with a duck, but they're an actual species. Muscovy duck?
