What Car Rides Look Like...

Max is ALWAYS up for a car ride, ANYWHERE!!! But when I say, "do you wanna go see Carly?"...he knows what that means....gonna see my Dad (whoo hooo...multiple heating blankets on his bed and chair-he must know I'm coming over cuz he always has them ready...just for ME!), my sister (who laughs at my outfits but she's just jealous of my wonderful fashion sense but she really loves me and I love to lay on her...especially if she lays down on the couch!), my brother-in-law (he likes to sneak me "people food" when Ma isn't looking and then lies about it to Ma but I'm pretty sure his fingers are crossed so it's ok...he also turns on the gas fireplace for me), then there's Carly, (she's this BIG, no...HUGE...black lab...I like her a lot but I get very jealous when Mom pets Carly so I make my Aunt pet me instead of Ma when that ridiculousness happens!). Good thing Carly has multiple humans around for petting crisis situations like that! She even got her human's to get me my own bowls and stuff....she's very hospitable so I don't get too upset about the whole human petting stealing thing she does and she is willing to share her humans with me so I guess it's all good! :)
The car ride there to see Carly and the Crew....
Come on Ma...start the car already!!! Don't worry
about selecting the perfect driving music for me...
I really don't care who we listen to! Just drive already!

Urrr...it's been like TWO whole minutes!!! ARE WE THERE YET?!!?
Starting to think I could have RUN there faster...Urrr!!

Maybe I should use this time for a quick nap!

Don't play with me Ma...are we FINALLY here?!

Hey, Hey Carly...remember...that human is mine! I know Ma, I have to "SHARE"...
what a nasty human concept...I thought it was ALL ABOUT ME???!!!!

Ma...over here...look at me...look at me!
HEEEEELLLLLLLOOOO!!!
YoooHoo...me, Max...in the cute nautical outfit?!
Ok, that's better focus on me!!!
Life is right again!!!

Have a beautiful today and share the love!!!

  4. The word "sharing" is not in my vocabulary when it comes to sharing cuddles and pets. That is just ridiculous. I love car rides too but you seem to have a much comfy-er spot than I do in the car.

    1. Max thinks sharing is very over-rated! Oh, Max's carseat is from www.pupsaver.com and it is the best ever!! it doesn't seat belt in, and can also be used as a bed if you wanted to...I LOVE it and so does he!!They have a video on their site to explain how it works in a crash test and folds like a clam to protect your pup.

    1. Does Bailey like the windows down? Ma is ok with 1/4 down but better not go further than that! He's such a scaredy-cat but LOVEs looking out the window and especially loves people to see him at red lights!

    2. bailey doesn't really care to look out the window. when we put her in her car seat, she curls up and goes to sleep; excellent traveler.
our windows are always up because aoife loves to look out the window and bark at everyone she sees. she will even bark at people in their cars! ugh.

    3. Aw, I know I would just love Aoife too, sounds like Aoife is full of personality! How did you pick that name?

    4. aoife is daughter #1's dog. when she was living in ireland a few years back, she fell in love with the name. she said that someday when she had a dog, she would name her aoife and the rest is history :)

  7. Max looks so comfortable in the car. I love how he has a bed in your car. Talk about spoiled! :P

And I don't blame Max for not wanting to share his Human. Beamer's the same way.

    1. Kat-it's this WONDERFUL carseat - I know it looks like a comfy bed right? Audi would LOVE it from www.pupsaver.com - I don't know that they have ones Beamer sized yet but they have Audi sized and it's awesome-I could do commercials for them I swear! Go look at their video of the way it's designed for crashes, it totally makes sense to fold like a clam in the event of a wreck and protect your pup and its lightweight, comfy and super easily portable...Max loves it too.Yep, if Max has to share HIS human, Carly is darn sure gonna sacrifice hers!!
