Dog Mountain

I thought this was interesting, so today's post is about
somewhere I'd love to one day go with Max!

In St. Johnsbury, Vermont there is a place called Dog Mountain. (http://www.dogmt.com). The person behind this idea and creation was a self-taught sculptor named Stephen Huneck who also wrote 10 books which were inspired by his black Lab named Sally. Mr. Huneck basically had a near death experience (I'm really shortening the story so you can read more on the website), that spurred him into building a Dog Chapel, he said, "one that celebrated the spiritual bond we have with our dogs, and that would be open to dogs and people. People of any faith or belief system".
Dog Mountain is on 150 acres of a mountain-top farm. The Dog Chapel opened in May of 2000. That is just the very simple version of the story, so I'd suggest checking out the website and reading more about it. There is an short video I found to at http://www.travelchannel.com/video/the-dog-chapel too. Thought that was a cool idea and wondered if any of you had ever been there? Sound like a nice place! I'll have to add this place to my (ever-growing), bucket list while driving one day through New England to see the fall colors with my co-pilot Max!
Thanks to Kim at Dog Mountain who said it was ok for me to use the photo from their website - she was super nice!!!
Ok, SERIOUSLY...did ya'll think I'd post without a picture of my Max?! Can't let you guys down like that!! :)
So here's your daily does of his Maxness!!! :) ...
WHY ME? Why does Mom INSIST on Morning Potty Time?! Urr!!!
She really needs to go into work later!!
Doesn't she get that I need UNINTERRUPTED beauty sleep?!!!
Have a beautiful today!!!

    1. Ha, you just made me imagine Max in snow....I don't think I could get him to put his feet in cold stuff-as it is when it's raining potty time is not fun! :) I have to carry him outside or he wouldn't budge!:)Remember Max is from California too!
