Aussie Treats

As ya know, my son is home from Australia....YEA!!! It's been 6 months since I've seen him and even longer since I've seen his wonderful Aussie bride but she'll be here soon too...double YEA!!! She picked me out this perfect coffee cup and sent it over with my son for me!! I also got an cool picture frame that displays pictures from a camera card disk but they have "wonky" plugs there so I need to get a compatible plug for it today to see what she put on it for me! Can't wait to see! Then they gave me some really fantastic soaps, shower gel, bath scrub, and bath jelly from a company named Lush in Canterbury, NSW, Australia and wow are their products great!!!! I could just smell that soap forever-yum! (she's gonna HAVE to bring more when she comes over!!),  I thought me and my daughter might have to duke it out thought over the coffee mug-just cuz I'm older doesn't mean I can't still whoop her! :) What did they bring over for my daughter that SHE requested???? (WARNING...May not be suitable for young viewers)....
Yes folks, it IS what you think...guess Kangaroo's have to get snipped too! Thankfully I got the cup!!! :)! My son knows how much of a sentimental mush Ma I am and also found this hand-crack turned music box that plays "You are my Sunshine" (that's our song). Awwww...my kiddos know me so well :)

Max needs a Bowl That Says
Keep Calm and Give Me A Peanut Butter Treat For Dessert...or Else!!!
He's pretty ferocious looking when he wants a treat! :)

Have a beautiful today!!!

    1. Aw, you're too sweet...gotta help out our friends!! I'll tell ya as a Mom I think that is one of the more scary things is what if your kids marry someone you don't like or who doesn't like you?! Glad he picked her - she's wonderful!!! Her family has been sooo great to my son while he was there too!!

  3. Ha! Poor Kangaroo!
We have Lush cosmetics in Canada, too. They're big on no animal testing, which is always great to see.

  4. We love Lush! It's all over Canada, so it's weird that you don't have it in the States.

Did you get any Veggemite or Tim Tams? :)

If the daughter in law hasn't come yet, ask for Tim Tams. It's like the Australian version of Oreos and they're friggin' delicious.

And Max doesn't look pleased that he was forgotten when the son was shopping for souvenirs.

    1. Urrr...I asked my son specifically for the Tim Tams as last time she brought both and I LOVE the Tim Tams but he "claims" to have forgotten (bet he ate them!). I think I was the only one in the family who was ok with the Veggemite...like that salty taste. Oh, but no comparision to Oreo's...Tim Tams win hands down! But OMD they have these Musk sticks...I still tease her about that one....yuck! The whole family agreed that is yucky!!! I was to really WATCH her eat one when she gets here cuz it was soooo gross to me I want her to prove to me she'll REALLY eat one! ha! Yep, my son was in the Max Doghouse til he broke out the Peanut Butter treats! :)

She heard that they sold them and HAD to have one to freak people out with. Yep, I'll take the Cup or my tea towel that says Australia any day :) :) Gotta get the Tim Tams next!

    2. Freak flag is flying for sure! :) I went to the store the other day and put my keys down to pull out my card and the lady about my age looked at them and then looked at me and I said yes those are what they look like except THEY ARE KANGAROO!! She says I mean Ive heard of a rabbits foot but uhhh never that and points. bahahahahaha I walked away laughing. I also hang my keys up on my wall by my desk and it keeps the drivers in line too. ; )
BTW dont get too attached to that coffee mug.......
