Pretty day in Houston

Car ride! Car ride! We must be having an adventure!! Yea!
I like it when Ma gets a little extra time before it gets dark outside!
As a treat to Ma I'm gonna do tricks for her while she drives...
See Ma...I can touch my nose with my tongue!

Ha ha ha, the cats lounging around in my backyard aren't gonna get to gooooo! Ha!

I don't think Stanley cares though!

Thunder Kitty has the day off since Ma is Body Guarding me today!
Ma says we are off to Cullen Park in Houston in Houston!

Ooohh...pretty flowers outside! But I'm not gonna go too close, I'd have to get my
paws wet! Nope...not gonna happen! Let Ma do it!

Some of the weird stuff me and Ma saw on our walk today

Ma was busy focusing on this flying thing...hummm...
Hellllloooo Ma...look down...see this cute tan thing with 4 legs...HELLO!!

These creatures look scary...let's just go the OTHER way Ma!
They look like dog-eating, crazed creatures! Run!!!
Maybe human Ma eaters too! Run Ma Run!!!

Did you see those things?! Let's get the heck outta dodge! Hurry Ma!

This tongue action is especially for my buddy Bunk
but I think he wins the longest tongue award!
(sorry, Ma got this pix out of sequence but she really wanted to show
Bunk my tongue and what it looked like AFTER our walk)

What the heck is that noise?! What??? Nature?!?

Some of the walking paths we did...not many humans around!

I think I might need some Dr. Scholl's Ma! Let's take a quick break!
Tell me you brought the water like I told ya Ma!!!
(Oh, Thank Dog!)

PupSaver Car Seat...I love you! It's like the pup answer to a recliner!!
I am one exhausted little Max tonite!!

Have a beautiful Monday!

  4. I was surprised - this is not my mental image of Houston! I'm glad there's so much "nature" there - don't worry Max, you get used to all the noises and even those scary vultures :)

    1. Curious, what your image was? Houston is large and flat, not much in the way of hills or anything. Not gonna get used to the creepy vultures though! eww!

  13. Nice walk Max...Just what you'll need for Park Day! I worried about those creepy black flying things when I was little but Momz sez they don't want you if you're still walking...We see lots of buzzard parties here but mostly along the roadsides

  14. What an awesome walk! Hey, I had to save Macy yesterday from a bald eagle that was about 15 feet from her with it talons open. Yikes!!! She would have been a nice little snack for the eagle with her 5 lbs little frame. From now on mommy has to supervise Miss Macy Gray when she goes outside. Macy is not happy about the supervision. She gives me sassy looks like I am crowding her. Haha! What can you do, huh?!

Tell Max to be safe as he is a tiny boy! You are such a good mommy to protect him. :-)

    2. It scared me alright! I was on a business call and just dropped the phone and ran for her. Whew! It was a close one. Not ever had that happen before. Miss you too! I'll start blogging again soon -- been busy and very sad. :-(

    1. Urr...I am hating the heat already!!! Ha, Dallas...where I got lost recently while trying to find the hotel! Found it interesting that there is a graveyard right on the premises outside the convention center. Wish I could have looked around more (other than getting lost).

  16. I think that giant bird would have swooped down and taken you away if it wanted to, Max. Looks like you had a great adventure (and car ride) with your human. You're also super stylin' in your red harness :)

    1. Thanks Kat, Ma says that's why it's important for me to wear a stupid leash out in the wilderness like that...plus I wanna be sure to keep a tight leash on HER (little does she know...that's REALLY why leashes were invented)! Have a great day!

    1. Hey Snoopy-How's the walking going today and your limp? Yes, I am trying hard to master the tongue trick but think my buddy Bunk has that skill to a fine art that can't be touched!

  19. I'm so jealous of your car seat! Thank you so much for letting us know the brand name so I can get one for Taylor! She has to keep up with the coolest kid in town, after all! :)
Also, thank you so much for your banner at the bottom of your blog for our veterans! My youngest sister is a member of the 82nd Airborne stationed in Ft. Bragg, so your words of thanks really mean a lot to me! :)

    1. Thanks, yes that car seat is seriously like the best seat ever, it's not cheap but it sure is worth every cent!
Please, please, please thank your youngest sister for her service on me and Max's behalf!! I think a lot of people take for granted what these service men and women do each day. May God bless them all and keep them all safe!!! May I ask how long she's been in and her MOS?

    1. Thanks Dina and welcome to the blog! The harness is super comfy and no hard edges to irritate Max's skin (cuz he barely even has fur around his neck and tummy), the car seat is so great I swear I could do commercials for it, it's not cheap but worth every dime (it's from www.PupSaver.com). Thanks for following! Headed over to your place now!
