The weekend before last, we went on lots of our little mini-adventures....
|
Like my new ride?
Just kidding - it was parked across the street from the "Beer Can House" |
|
It took a REALLY long time for my son and Max to drink all this beer :) ....kidding!!!
It's the work of John Milkovisch and an estimated 50,000+ beers cans that create the beer can house.
|
|
That's a LOT of beer tops and it sounds super cool whenever it rains too! |
|
An interesting mural near our next stop |
|
Hey, Easy...I hear she's single :) |
|
Don't worry Easy, he says they're "just friends" :) |
Have a beautiful today and remember Easy does it out there in this heat with your pups!
(I know, I know...Don't Quit My Day Job right!?!)
Seriously though, if you happen by strange chance not to know
Easy, I highly recommend visiting his blog!
I always love reading about your adventures, Max!:) What a cutie. Looks like a fun time.
ReplyDeleteThank Bunk - we love seeing that face and tongue...a lot!
DeleteThat beer can house is very neat, mom remembers reading about it. There is lots of cool stuff near you for sure! As for those ladies, very cute indeed
ReplyDeleteurban hounds
Well, Houston is spread out so nothing seems to be near each other but I like to drive so it's ok :)
DeleteThat would be like living in a giant wind chime.....I have seen houses made out of actual beer bottles - one back home in OZ - they filled the bottles with water, sealed them and then mortared them together to make the walls - it actually keeps the house very cool. I think all those can lids rattling in the wind could get pretty annoying after a while though :) Gosh - we though you had met our buddy Goose when we saw the other dogs
ReplyDeleteYes, I can sorta see a Goose vibe there too! Wow, bottles with water does sound like it would surely make for great insulation! Bet in about 1 week you wouldn't even hear the chimes anymore although I work in a pediatric facility and I swear I am like the only one there that never hears screaming kiddos until someone else mentions it, I can tune anything out I think :)
DeleteThat sure is an interesting house! Let us know how the matchmaking worked out...lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I could do a doggie-match.com right?!
DeleteAnother great adventure! How funny about the beer house. Never heard about that before. Thanks for sharing and taking pictures. And that car was crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I loved that car especially! We also have an art car parade once a year with all sorts of cool cars and an art car museum :)
DeleteJust loving that car :) It's not here it's raining again :( xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Yea! Sunshine for Mollie! It's about time right?!!! Have a blast outside!!!
DeleteLove the car and the beer can house. What a fun city you live in Max. We too love Easy he cracks us up. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I still think you would do well with your own TV Series Molly!!
DeleteWe never made it to the Beer Can House. I was going to ask you if you had been. Groupon had a half off coupon recently.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have never actually been inside as it was closed or no pups allowed but I need to someday :)
DeleteThe beer house is something I'd like to see for myself. Wow! That is indeed something. Is it just the facade that comprises the beer cans?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it is just the outside mostly but have never gone inside so I can't say for sure, sorry about that.
DeleteMax you have some of the coolest adventures and pictures that you share with us. Whoo a beer can house, oh well my mom trys to build blue glass bottle garden sculptures....
ReplyDeletestella rose
Wow, that's cool! I would sure love to see photos of that! Where are ya getting the blue bottles? Sounds cute!
DeleteWow, the beer can house is really cool! I love anything quirky and different like that.
ReplyDeleteHope those boys have recovered from their hangover now, LOL.
Lynne x
Heck Lynne, I'm thinking talented artist that you are, you could darn crochet a house or do something way more creative!
DeleteI love that car! Can I make a wine bottle house instead?
ReplyDeleteOf course you can...I don't like beer but I would be more than happy to help out with the wine emptying :)
DeleteThat car is pawesome! I so wished it was yours! BOL Great photos, pal.
ReplyDeleteOz
I wish it was too! It's so fun looking! I love bright, happy colors!
DeleteInteresting beer can house! I bet my Dad could build one of those QUICKLY since he's a beer guy. We TOTALLY know Easy and think that girl doggy in the photo would be quite the match for him! I hope the fact he's WAY on the other side of the pond won't keep this romance from blooming......I'll tell Easy I'll loan him my hang-glider so he can come visit her!!
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sam
Sammy, you've got the right idea! or Dad could build a beer airplane for Easy to go on his first date with her :)
DeleteShe is single? REALLY? Do you have her phone number, Max? What's her name? I like this ride, it looks pretty cool! And I hope Mr. Milkovisch has no headaches after 50k cans of beer :o)
ReplyDeleteWe showed her your photo and she was definitely interested in you dude! 1-800-HotDogs!
DeleteOMD we love Easy! Those beer tops look pretty cool!!
ReplyDeleteI like wind chimes and have actually been by there when it was raining and stopped to listen and it was pretty sounding.
DeleteThe picture of Max w/ your son is just adorable! You can really see Max's tiny size!
ReplyDeleteYep, he's a little dude, but my son is also 6'4" if that helps really show Max's size.
DeleteWhoa, that is one seriously odd house and car! I bet the neighbors love their individuality, hehehe! :-D Looking like another pawesome day with Max and co!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure those neighbors weren't all that thrilled when it was being "created" but now it's at least a landmark :)
DeleteYou always go see the most interesting things, Max! That beer can house is pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI just get bored easily, have no attention span and hate staying home! :)
DeleteI love the car and the can top house ain't too bad either. Plus the orange totally suits you Max!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Dina...Ma was really bummed out that they didn't have the lime green in my size :( But I told her I look like a tuff construction worker in the orange vest! :)
DeleteThat Milkovisch fellow must've thrown one heck of a party to have been able to collect that many beer cans, bottles, and tops.
ReplyDeleteRight?! I'm thinking Roxy's Ma mentioned a Wine house...I'm in! You?
DeleteWhat a kewl house Max...Momz loves it and she expecially loves the multicolor wheels on that car...Now that you've got Easy all fixed p have you met a Border Terrier for me?
ReplyDeleteOh, Gizmo...don't get Ma started or she'll be having ya married in no time!
DeleteMax
Geez! You must live in a seriously arty area with so much cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteNot really, just have to drive and look around as Houston's so big and spread out but you would think a city this size would have more. Well, I''m always on the hunt :) ya never know!
DeleteLol... that looks like something my brother would build...
ReplyDeleteWow, you saw some really cool things on your adventure! Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteWow - what a pawsome adventure you had!
ReplyDeleteThat looked super cool!
I don't know Easy, but I'm heading over there now!
Stewey
Wow a beer can house and an art car! Two really cool things, of course they would be juxtaposed. Thanks for sharing the neat pictures.
