What has 4 wheels and moves fast? Not this chick...unless in my Honda!!

Another of our mini-fun times from the weekend before last, this is the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark

Opened in June 2008 and is around 40,000 sq. ft.  and it's free! Helmets are required but not padding...are they crazy or what? Pad me up!!! Well, not to worry as this chick won't be skateboarding :). Max was more interested in what was there nearby to pee on :) 

Oh, I sooo could have done that! (Not!)

Yep, it's just outside of downtown. It's very clean and well maintained.

Across the street and down some stairs is the Buffalo Bayou Walk - North Trail, also where you can launch a canoe (but I'd be scared of that nasty water and tipping over!)

I wished I had a video of this little pup who came running - almost flying over to see Max like Max was a long lost friend!

What's next Ma...what's next?!

Come on pokey Brother...let's get this party started already!!!

(Ok, so you can't tell from the photos but it was like a tra-zillion degrees outside so we had to take hydration breaks in the car with the a/c running so Max wouldn't overheat!)

It's also time for K9 Kamp put on by the awesome Kol's Notes and Peggy's Pet Place so since the above pix were from the weekend before last, Ma didn't wanna cheat so we got up early and walked about the subdivision but without the camera...smart Ma! We don't think we'll do that again as some pups are roaming without leashes and seem a bit aggressive...well, watching Dad all weekend so we'll have to get creative since we can't leave the casa :)

FitDog Friday Strikes Again!

Yes folks, I'm being dedicated and walking in the drizzling rain, but we discovered a new, tiny park near the house that we didn't even know existed until today! Thanks FitDog Friday for inspiring us!

Chloe:  Max REALLY...of all times...NOW you decide to get your paws wet? I mean LOOK at me?! I JUST got my nails done!!! Really Max, I expected a LITTLE more consideration from you!!!

Chloe:  I'm not MAD Max, I just don't wanna talk about it!...I SAID I'm NOT MAD!!!!

Max:  See Chloe, it's really just a little damp :), I'm even walking on the dog-side of you being all chivalrous in case some other male pup tries to come over and flirt with you!

Chloe:  It's ok, Max,...I'm over it....you're right, it does feel pleasantly squishy between my paws!

Chloe:  Come on now Max, don't hold a grudge...give me a kiss :)! 

Chloe:  Doesn't it remind you of our first pupdate?

Max:  Yea, Chloe...it sorta does!

Max:  I remember seeing you walk, that independent, cute little walk of yours...oh, Chloe...you're still as beautiful as the first day I met you!

Urrr...Can't ya'll see we are trying to have a moment here...cover you eyes Ma's!

Both:  Hey, who's THIS?

Leash-less:  Hey, you two done bickering?! I really wanna play!!

The Couple:  Sshhh...it's a ploy to get our Ma's to feel sorry for us...see, first they see us arguing...then we make up right?!...then they're all like human emotional messes and we'll get extra treats in the car on the way home and stuff! Come on Leash-less get with the program! You gotta stay one step ahead of the human Ma's!

I'm gonna have heck with Max's ego

Well folks...it's official....Max has made it to the "big time"!!! He was featured in Come Wag Along yesterday for their Fashion Friday post!!! How cool is that?! I love to see Simba too...he's a cutie pie, Miniature Schnauzer and the real "Star of the Show" over there :)

I actually did a post on what Max is wearing for Fashion Friday a while back from Creative Imaginings and emailed to verify she is still making these super soft, fleece Football jackets and she is for just $10 and I can tell you that Max has worn his a lot and I've washed and dryed it plenty and it's held up perfectly so I don't hesitate recommending this jacket at all and the price is right too! Funky Finds is another place you can browse for more of their items. (No, not affiliated with them in any way at all, just bought it and liked it).

Hope ya'll are all looking forward to a wonderful weekend full of fun!! Today I'm planning on a long walk around the park nearby with Max (yes, Goose from A Day In The Life Of A Goose made me feel guilty -ha!), when talking about the FitDog Friday Blog Hop by Slimdoggy and Peggy Frezon of Peggy's Pet Place, so guess it's time to get a little more inspired...Max is fine...it's Ma that needs the exercise :) and now that the old neck is feeling better...gotta get the legs moving too! Then the daughter and I are off to look at rocks and beads at a place she was telling me about last night....after treating me to a wonderful dinner last night (I'm becoming just as spoiled as Max!).

Exercise? FitDog Friday?...

Ma:  Remember the fun we had last time?
Max:  Ok, hurry and get my leash ok?!...I'll go start the car!!
