Park Day 2.0 and Bingo Time Fun! B I N G O!!!!!!

If you don't already know about this, Gizmo at Terrier Torrent and Finn and Charley Too are having another  pawsome Park Day 2.0 so be sure to participate in the fun! You even get to combine Park Day 2.0 with BINGO! Now, ya just gotta LOVE that creativity and combo!!! They both must have really worked hard to put all this together for us all to enjoy so thank you sooo much and hope to hear everyone shouting BINGO!!! Ma had the evening off after work yesterday so she left work 1 hour early to celebrate (her boss is cool like that and only on Fridays, but Ma is allowed to skip lunch so she can leave 1 hour early most Fridays - we love that!)

This is the Bingo card we picked! (Gotta keep things legit and all)

1. Visit your nearest body of water...
We love to look at the ducks and I like the feet on this guy too :)

2.  Hike a woodsy trail...
Ok, this is as woodsy as this chick goes into the woods solo (there have been incidents before in the closest woods by us so Ma wouldn't venture off in there without a human buddy system), and note what I found up in the tree! What the heck are these enormous creatures?! Anyone know??

3.  Follow Terrier Torrent/Gizmo's (and Finn and Charley Too's) Blog by RSS or Email...
No brainer there! See my sidebar too :) we proudly display both Park Days and Gizmo, Finn and Charley are listed as Max's Favorite Blogs too with the rest of our good blogger buddies! Of course!!

We had a blast doing the first park day at McKinney Falls State Park!

4.  Visit a park at sunset...

We did this today before even picking our Bingo card! Yea us! Hard to prove we were there at sunset because a certain someone (MA! it's all MA's Fault!) (Max, be nice!), but you can see Max's shadow and darn if I hadn't just deleted a bad pix but would have shown it was getting dark out when we were leaving. I had the night off after work, so we hung out at the regular park first out in Katy, Texas and then to a Dog Park afterwards :) A certain pup was actually running! This is somewhat rare! (Ma, that's sooo not true...I just don't like wearing myself out is all!) (Uhhh, huh...sure Max!) :) It was super cool to go that late in the evening to the Dog Park cuz Max was the ONLY pup in the small pup section so he got to sniff his heart out with no distractions!

5.  Find flowers...here I thought my attempt at learning (or trying to learn), to take photo's of flowers was just for my benefit to learn my camera more! Yea! Glad I didn't delete it now :) but I sadly, have no clue what kind of flower this is either...
yep, that's Ma's blog...don't know what kind of flower or giant birds in the trees...way to go Ma! (Max, don't be ugly or there will be no peanut butter treat for you!)...Hey Ma, have I told you how awesome I think that flower picture is? (Don't try to suck up now Max!)....anyway...

Looks like we have a B I N G O!!!! Second row from the bottom, straight across! Whoo Hoo!!! Oh boy, Ma is lookin' for her BINGO dobber...HELP! Ma's lookin' to see if there's a nearby BINGO game on her next day off she can go play for real...look at what your pawrents started now! Ma gets really loud when she hollers BINGO! Time to drag out my ear plugs! (Oh, Max...quit being a drama king!)...(You guys just don't know what Ma's like...she gets all freaked out when she only has 1 more number to get a BINGO, she's crazy I tell ya!!). I think somepup is just jealous cuz he didn't get B6 last time!!!

PS More photo intense post this weekend of this visit but we had to show BINGO today :)

Park Day - You WON'T BELIEVE what Max Did!! (Read the P.S. too - ha!)

I HIKED FOR PARK DAY!!!... Brilliant idea by the awesome Gizmo as Co-Host of Park Day and Finn, Blogville's Director of Parks! Can't wait to read all the blogs today!!!

Last Saturday my son and my co-pilot Max, decided to drive about 2-1/2 hours away from Houston, Texas to see McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas.  We began our trip as some of you know by stopping at Rosemary's Vineyard and Winery in La Grange, Texas...yum, good stuff! Then it was off to see the 726 acre park that opened in 1976 after 638 acres were donated by Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Smith and Miss Annie M. Smith who were the grandchildren of James Wood Smith had previously bought the land and homestead from Thomas F. McKinney who was one of Austin, Texas's very first settlers who eventually became famous for the race horses he bred.  The land used to be covered by sea but was broken by a volcano called Pilot Knob...I had to look it up because it does look rather odd, like Mars or something looking at some of the formations. 

Have to allow my big brother some privacy, but here are all the pretty wildflowers at the park

I do look rather fetching in the whole Mother Nature gig if I do say so myself!

Even the Water Tower's liked me on the way home and smiled bye at me...a peanut butter treat would have been a nicer touch though Mr. Water Tower!

P.S.   Because Ma likes my big Brother, she won't show the photos of him dangerously jumping over rocks he shouldn't have and then falling in the deep ravine when jumping back over, once Ma knew he was ok, she was laughing really hard and making the clicker on her camera burn up! She calls those her special blackmailing photos but she felt a wee bit bad when she saw the huge scrapes on his sides...well, not THAT bad....not enough to delete them! (NOTE: No dogs were hurt in the making of this blog post...humans...well...ha ha ha!)

Well, ever since I read about FitDog Friday and Park Day (co-hosted by the wonderful Gizmo!), it inspired Max to drag Ma along on little outdoor outings on the days after work that we don't go visit Grandpa.   This time we went to a different section of Bear Creek Park...as soon as Max spotted why I parked in a total different area of the park...THIS is what I was left to photograph!...The heck with Ma....(I see where I rank!).

See ya Ma...snooze you loose...hurry!! There's lots of little mini-humans playing and I LOVE mini's!!!

If Max's little paws had brakes on them, they would have screeched when he slammed on those paw brakes! No, Max...we aren't gonna play with the little kids on their scooters hanging around...sorry....

They're GIANT DEVIL DOGS WITH HORNS!!! Oh Ma, don't tell me we're a a Top Secret Genetic Altering Dog Conversion Site?!!  I PROMISE I'll get up EVERY morning to potty without making you coax me outta bed!!! Please Ma...Nooooo!!! I don't wanna be morphed into a mutant devil dog!!! I'll...I'll...I'll even give up my addiction to Peanut Butter Treats (is there a patch for that?!)...

OMD! This mutant dog must be in the beginning stages of devil horns! Oh, Ma...this is a pup's worse nightmare!!!

(Just then, a Cow that I didn't get a photo of, made a Moo sound!)

And Max decided the Mutant Devil Dogs weren't so bad after all, kinda fascinating, (from a far and SAFE distance), once I assured him that HE was not going to be genetically altered and converted into one of THEM!
Hey Ma...I kinda like these large but inferior Dog "Creatures"....can we visit them again? Oh, and ahh, yeeah, I was just pulling your (weird and deformed), human appendage about the giving up Peanut Butter Treats...you know that right?!
