Hello, I'm Sampson.

I am 22 months old and I am a Harlequin Great Dane.

Mum calls me her 'heart dog', now I'm not sure what that means, but I think it is something very special. I came to Mum at the very young age of 6 weeks, from a well meaning but ill informed breeder. Mum never saw me before she picked me, but from pick of the litter she did well. She wanted a harlequin boy and I was the only one, so it was fate. I am Mum's canine 'other half', I am very aloof with strangers and I only wag my tail for my Mum, but she says that's okay- I am HER dog. I show her that I love her by leaning or head butting her if she isn't paying me attention. I also spend my time stood in front of the TV, because I am much more interesting than whatever is on. I wonder what a 'Heart dog' is, Mum loves all of us equally, but she says that we share a special bond. She understands my weird quirks and I understand her right back. We share a very special connection, on my right side by my ribs I have a big heart shaped spot, Mum says it is hers. 

Now you know the soppy side to me, don't tell anyone or I'll loose my reputation! hehe.
